PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Okanagan Properties Group, brokered by 2 Percent Realty Interior Inc. (“Okanagan Properties Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you provide to us.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information when you visit okanagan-properties.ca, submit a form, request a complimentary home evaluation, contact us, or otherwise interact with our website.

Our privacy practices are intended to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). PIPA regulates how private-sector organizations in British Columbia collect, use, and disclose personal information.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

Depending on how you interact with our website, we may collect information such as:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Property address
  • Information about your property
  • Your real estate plans, timing, or goals
  • Information you include in a contact form or message
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring website, and information related to website security or spam prevention

We collect only information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. BC PIPA generally limits collection to purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

We may collect personal information when you:

  • Request a complimentary professional home evaluation
  • Complete a contact form
  • Email, call, or otherwise communicate with us
  • Request information about buying or selling real estate
  • Interact with features of our website
  • Browse the website, where certain technical information may be collected automatically through cookies, server logs, security tools, or similar technologies

When information is provided voluntarily for an obvious purpose—for example, submitting your contact information so we can respond to a home-evaluation request—PIPA recognizes that consent may be implied for that purpose.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We may use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and requests
  • Prepare or discuss a complimentary home evaluation
  • Provide real estate information, guidance, or services you request
  • Communicate with you regarding your real estate plans
  • Follow up on inquiries
  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website
  • Protect our website and forms from spam, fraud, abuse, and automated submissions
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, professional, or contractual obligations
  • Maintain appropriate business and transaction records

We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose unless permitted by law or appropriate consent has been obtained.

HOME EVALUATION AND CONTACT FORMS

When you submit a form on our website, we may collect the information entered into that form, such as your name, contact information, property address, property details, and any message or additional information you choose to provide.

We use that information to respond to your request and provide the real estate information or service you requested.

Submitting a home-evaluation form does not create an obligation to list or sell your property with Okanagan Properties Group.

CLOUDFLARE TURNSTILE

Our website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect forms from spam and automated abuse.

Turnstile runs browser-based challenges and evaluates certain browser or device signals to determine whether a visitor appears to be human. A verification token is then validated through Cloudflare’s systems.

Cloudflare may process technical information required to provide its security services. Depending on its configuration, Cloudflare services may also use cookies or similar technologies and data may be processed outside Canada, including in the United States.

Cloudflare provides additional information about Turnstile’s privacy practices through its Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Cloudflare specifically directs website operators using Turnstile to disclose its use in their privacy information.

COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

Our website may use cookies, local storage, server logs, or similar technologies that are necessary for website functionality, security, performance, and user experience.

Third-party service providers used by the website may also place or process cookies or similar identifiers where required to provide their services.

You can generally configure your browser to block or delete cookies; however, doing so may affect the functionality of certain website features.

WEBSITE ANALYTICS AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Our website or service providers may collect technical information about website visits, such as browser type, device information, IP address, referring page, pages visited, and general website usage information.

This information may be used to understand website performance, improve the website, troubleshoot problems, and protect against malicious activity.

WordPress notes that websites commonly use tools such as analytics, contact-form plugins, cookies, and third-party services that may process visitor information, which is why a site’s privacy policy needs to reflect the services actually enabled.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We may use trusted third-party service providers to operate our business and website, including providers for:

  • Website hosting
  • Website security
  • Spam and bot prevention
  • Email and communications
  • Form processing
  • Website maintenance
  • Analytics or performance measurement, if enabled
  • Other technology or professional services

These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law.

Some service providers may process or store information outside British Columbia or outside Canada. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

LINKS AND EMBEDDED CONTENT

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or may display embedded content such as videos, maps, social-media content, or other external resources.

When you interact with third-party content or leave our website, that third party’s privacy practices apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of websites operated by others.

WordPress also notes that embedded third-party content can behave as though the visitor had visited the originating website directly and may involve that third party’s own data collection or tracking.

HOW WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide a service you have requested
  • Work with service providers that support our website or business
  • Complete or support a real estate transaction
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, court orders, or lawful requests
  • Protect our rights, property, users, systems, or the security of the website
  • Obtain professional advice where reasonably necessary

We do not disclose personal information for unrelated purposes except where permitted or required by law.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN INFORMATION

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable business, professional, legal, regulatory, accounting, or record-keeping requirements.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we may securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it, subject to applicable retention requirements.

SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information in our custody or control.

No method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

BC privacy law requires organizations to make reasonable security arrangements to prevent risks such as unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, or disposal of personal information.

ACCESSING OR CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you or to request correction of information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.

BC’s privacy regulator confirms that individuals have rights under PIPA to request access to their personal information in the custody or control of a private organization and to request correction of inaccurate information.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to an access or correction request.

YOUR CONSENT

By voluntarily providing personal information to us, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure for the purposes that would reasonably be understood in the circumstances, subject to applicable law.

Where required, additional consent may be requested for uses beyond the purpose for which information was originally collected.

You may withdraw consent where permitted by law, subject to reasonable notice and any legal, regulatory, contractual, or transactional limitations.
